(SQUIRREL MAIL)
A web based email system, which will allow users to read,
write and delete emails using a standard Internet browser.
Squirrel mail can be used across the local network or via
the Web, very much like Hotmail. This option is only viable
for customers with permanent / broadband connections ie leased
line, radio or fibre.
MAILSCANNER ANTI-VIRUS
A Linux based antivirus package, which scans all incoming
and outgoing emails for viruses and malicious code. Definitions
are updated on a daily basis.
SAMBA
Authentication, security and file sharing.
INTERNET CONTENT
FILTERING
This uses a set of rules configured into the Proxy software
to stop users from accessing pornographic web sites.
E-MAIL CONTENT FILTERING
A list of file extensions, configured into the email software
to block unwanted email attachments. Both sender and recipient
are notified if the rules are triggered.
INTERNET AND E-MAIL
TRAFFIC LOGGING
The system is configured to monitor the email and Internet
usage being generated by all users on the network. A weekly
or monthly report is created and automatically emailed to
the systems administrator.
WEB-BASED ADMINISTRATION
MODULE
Will allow system administrators to remotely administer the
server using a standard web browser, performing functions
like adding users, changing passwords, checking the mail queue,
